B.J. Muirhead Co., Inc. was founded Buffalo in 1949 by Benjamin Muirhead. The early years found Ben selling and servicing boilers manufactured by the Ames Iron Works Co. Success in the boiler business soon found the company representing the Cleaver Brooks Boiler Company.

Micheal D. Muirhead is now president and CEO of the business. Under his leadership and through the efforts of all employees, the company has prospered and grown. Over the years we have added many complimentary lines to provide heating solutions for industrial, commercial and domestic water needs. The company is headquartered in Orchard Park, NY, just south of Buffalo, with a branch office in Rochester, NY.  The company has been serving Power Plant and heating installations throughout Western New York and Pennsylvania for over fifty years.
